About Us
Fox Chase Civic Association (FCCA) is recognized as the Local RCO for Fox Chase and receives formal notice from developers whose proposed projects are within the neighborhood’s boundaries and require Zoning Board of Adjustment approval or Civic Design Review.
FCCA (incorporated in May of 2023) was formerly named Fox Chase Homeowners Association which was founded in 1992 after a developer proposed building a large office building at the corner of Rhawn Street & Verree Road, across from the historic Knowlton Mansion. The project’s scope would have forever altered our community. Ultimately, a small one-story building was built and currently operates as a bank. During the long process, we found our voice, our organization, and a victory for Fox Chase.
Since then, we’ve addressed many concerns that would have diminished the quality of life in Fox Chase. We assisted in the formation of the Fox Chase Town Watch, gave input to the Planning Commission on the re-zoning of Fox Chase, and offered input into the business corridor rehabilitation. We have evolved into an organization whose core ideal is the preservation of all the things that make Fox Chase a great place to live.
Please consider joining us to help preserve and improve our neighborhood and our home, Fox Chase!
FCCA is a Registered Community Organization (RCO) with Philadelphia’s City Planning Commission. The RCO system is designed to improve community notification of proposed developments and make community involvement more predictable across the City of Philadelphia.
The Fox Chase Civic Association (FCCA) is comprised of Fox Chase residents committed to preserving the residential character of Fox Chase, to rally support for its improvement, and to have a meaningful civic voice for the neighborhood.
